Non-additivity of quantum channel capacities
The speaker will give an overview of communication capacities of quantum channels (classical, quantum and private, among others), and the recent discovery that several of them are non-additive. The talk is based on work by Hayden/Winter and Hastings (arXiv:0807.4753 and arXiv:0809.3972), Smith/Yard (arXiv:0807.4935) and Li/Winter/Zou/Guo (arXiv:0903.4308).
