Fermionic T-duality

Recent work on the scattering amplitudes in N=4 super-Yang-Mills (SYM) has shown that they exhibit a symmetry called dual superconformal symmetry. As N=4 SYM is dual to the geometry AdS5 S5 via the AdS/CFT, Berkovits and Maldacena have linked these symmetries to self-duality of the geometry AdS5 S5 under a combination of bosonic T-dualities and newer fermionic T-dualities. We review both types of T-duality, explain the self-duality for AdS5 S5 and comment on other settings where geometries are self-dual. We will pay particular attention to supergravity.
