Venue
The workshop will take place in the Museum Building at Trinity College, the University of Dublin.
One suggestion to get to Trinity/your hotel from the airport is the Aircoach
A number of options for lunch are available on campus, including the buttery and the arts block cafe. Trinity College is centrally located and there are endless options off campus. Tea and coffee will be provided during discussion breaks. In the immediate vicinity of Trinity College there are a number of hotels, including
Trinity City (formerly Trinity Capital) (4 star),
Mont Clare (3 star),
Davenport (4 star) and
Alexander (4 star).
A booking form to make reservations with the Trinity City Hotel is available here. Friday 30th May we will host a workshop dinner at a nearby restaurant. We expect the cost of dinner to be approximately 35 euros.
In case it is needed the School of Maths is located in the Hamilton Building at the
east end of the campus. The school of mathematics office is one
flight of stairs up from the ground floor and to the right.
Getting to TCD
The buses (which are painted in light blue) leave every 15 minutes or
so from the airport and even have wireless internet.
You will want to take the Dublin Airport - Dublin City
Centre - Leopardstown route (route 700), the trip to the city takes about 20-40 minutes
depending on traffic and costs 12 euro for a return trip. You should get off at the
third, Grafton Street/Trinity College, stop. Another option is of course to take a
taxi which should cost 20-30 euro.
The bus stop is a few short meters past the front entrance to Trinity College (campus map).
The Museum building is on the southern side of New Square which is
past Parliament and Library Square upon entering.
