All Ireland Conference on Quantum Technologies

The conference is organized amid some recent developments regarding European funding opportunities in quantum technologies. Ireland, represented by Science Foundation Ireland, has recently joined the consortium of QuantERA, a new ERA Net initiative in Quantum Technologies. QuantERA will provide significant support for research and development of quantum technologies and will likely represent an important step towards attaining considerable European funding in the future. In the meantime, the European Commission has announced its intention to fund a €1 billion Flagship in Quantum Technologies within the final phase of the framework programme H2020. The idea of the Conference is to kick-off preparations for these developments.
