Objectives

 

The objectives of Maynooth Cycling Campaign are as follows:

¨ To act as the representative body for cyclists in Maynooth

¨ To highlight cycling issues. Emphasise the positive, not be anti-car, propose concrete effective solutions to issues and problems

¨ To lobby for a cross-campus cycle corridor

¨ To promote the carriage of bicycles on public transport

¨ To become involved in development issues relevant to cycling

¨ To improve the quality of cycling facilities

¨ To contribute to informed debate through evidence based research on cycling issues

¨ To form mutually beneficial links with other cycling organisations

¨ To promote Maynooth as a model cycle town

¨ To liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding cycle access routes to Maynooth

¨ To raise the positive profile of cycling
